PullRite took a different approach with the Super 5th. Instead of the hitch doing all the pivoting, they put an air-ride system between the hitch and the trailer connection. The result is a smoother ride that absorbs road shock before it reaches your truck. The 18K model handles 18,000 pounds of trailer weight. It mounts to Ford OEM pucks - same factory prep package holes that other puck hitches use. Installation is similar to other puck-mount hitches though the air system adds some extra steps. Most people still handle it themselves.
The air-ride mechanism works automatically - you do not have to adjust anything while driving.
