Expert Take
This is the benchmark 25K puck-mount Companion that every other fifth wheel gets measured against. It drops into factory pucks, pops out with a lever when you want your bed back, and tows dead quiet thanks to the cushioned, fully-articulating head.
About This Product
The B&W Companion 25K for GM trucks works the same way as their Ford version - drops into the factory pucks your Chevy or GMC came with. Twenty-five thousand pounds of towing capacity for larger fifth wheels. No drilling, no rails, just the pucks that are already in your bed.
GM uses a different puck spacing than Ford, so this is specifically designed for Silverado and Sierra trucks with the factory prep package. Same quality B&W construction and the same easy install - set the base into the pucks, lock it down, drop on the head. Maybe an hour of work.
The head pivots in all directions for easy hookups and smooth towing. One-inch thick jaws wrap completely around the kingpin. Polyurethane bushings eliminate rattling. Three height positions for leveling. All the features that make the Companion line popular, just matched to GM puck spacing.
When you are not towing, lift it out and your bed is flat again. No permanent changes to your truck. The whole point of puck-mount hitches is easy on, easy off.
Made in the USA by B&W in Kansas. If your GM truck has factory pucks and you need 25K capacity, this is the direct solution.

25K OEX SuperLite
The 25K OEX SuperLite is the lighter-weight version of the OEX puck hitch, still good for 25,000 lbs and easier on your back at install. Ride is solid if a hair less plush than the heavier Super 5th, and the value is a little friendlier.

Frequently Asked Questions
The 25K Companion is compatible with RAM trucks from 2013 to 2026. Use the fitment table above for the complete list of compatible year, model, and bed configurations.
The 25K Companion is rated for 25,000 lbs gross trailer weight (GTW) and 6,250 lbs vertical trailer weight (VTW — the pin weight your truck carries). Always verify your truck's tow rating before purchasing.
This hitch is considered DIY-friendly — most owners can install it with basic tools.
The 25K Companion is available from Amazon, B&W directly. Use the "Where to Buy" buttons above for current pricing and availability.
The 25K Companion has a fixed head — it does not slide. This is the most common setup and works great for standard-length beds. If you have a short bed, verify clearance before purchasing.
The 24K SuperGlide is the gold standard for short-bed trucks, automatically sliding the hitch back when you turn so the trailer clears the cab without you touching a thing. It drops into factory pucks and tows incredibly smooth; the auto-slide mechanism is the trade you make on a slightly fussier install.
