An 18K rail-mount TrailSaver that bolts to standard rails and uses air suspension to eliminate chucking. The ride is best-in-class and the build is overkill in the good way, but expect heavy lifting at install and a steep cost.
About This Product
The Hensley BD3 TrailSaver is an 18,000-pound air-ride fifth wheel hitch that mounts to industry-standard rails. It uses an air spring to absorb road impacts, delivering a smoother ride than rigid hitches.
The air spring compresses and rebounds to absorb bumps and rough roads before that motion transfers into your trailer. Less jarring means less wear on your RV and more comfort inside.
The 18,000-pound rating works well for mid-size fifth wheel trailers. This is the lighter-duty option in the TrailSaver lineup for people who do not need the full 25,000+ pound capacity.
Hensley makes this hitch in the USA with heavy-duty construction. The air-ride system is what separates it from conventional hitches.
